Once you have created a release in Fanaura, you have full control to edit and fine-tune every aspect of it. This guide covers everything you can do from the release management page.

Accessing the Release Management Page

1

Navigate to Assets > Music

Open the Assets page and select the Music tab.
2

Click on Your Release

Click on any release in your list to open its detail/management page.
The management page is your command center for that release. It combines editing tools, analytics, streaming link management, and campaign controls all in one place.

Editing Release Details

Song Title

Click on the song title or the Edit button to modify the title. The title appears on your smart link page, in your assets list, and in any analytics or exports.
When you change the title, the URL slug does not automatically change (to avoid breaking existing shared links). If you need a new URL slug, contact support.

Artist Name

Your artist name is pulled from your account profile. If you need to change it, update it in Settings > Profile and it will reflect across all your releases.

Album Name

Edit the album name from the release detail page. This is displayed alongside your track information and is included in metadata lookups.

Changing Artwork

Your artwork is the most prominent visual element on your smart link page. To change it:
1

Locate the Artwork Section

On your release management page, find the artwork section.
2

Upload New Artwork

Click the Upload button or drag a new image onto the artwork area.
3

Artwork Updates Immediately

The new artwork replaces the old one immediately.
Requirements:
RequirementValue
Maximum file size5 MB
Supported formatsJPG, PNG, WebP
Recommended dimensions3000 x 3000 pixels (square)
If you change your artwork after your pre-save campaign is live, the new artwork appears immediately on your smart link page. This can be useful for artwork reveals — start with a teaser image and swap it out on announcement day.

Updating Dates

You can modify all three key dates from the release management page:

Announcement Date

Change the date you plan to announce (or announced) the release. This is primarily for your own planning and timeline reference.

Pre-Save Date

Change when pre-saves open. If you move the pre-save date to the future, the page reverts to a “Coming Soon” state. If you move it to the past (or today), pre-saves become active immediately.

Release Date and Time

Change when the song officially releases. This is the most impactful date change because it controls:
  • When pre-saves are executed (saves to fan libraries)
  • When your smart link page converts from “Pre-Save” to “Stream Now”
  • When automatic streaming link fetching begins
If fans have already pre-saved and you move the release date, their pre-saves are still valid. They will execute on the new date. Make sure the new date aligns with your distributor’s release schedule.

Timezone

You can change the timezone associated with your dates. This affects when all date-based actions trigger.
While Fanaura auto-fetches streaming links via your ISRC on release day, you can also add or edit links manually at any time.

Standard Streaming Platforms

1

Scroll to Streaming Links

Scroll to the Streaming Links section on your release page.
2

Find the Platform

Find the platform you want to add (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc.).
3

Paste the URL

Paste the URL into the input field.
4

Toggle and Configure

Use the toggle switch to enable or disable the link on your smart link page. Choose a button action (Stream, Listen, Buy, Watch, Download) from the dropdown.
To add a link to a platform or service not in the standard list:
1

Click Add Custom Link

Click ”+ Add Custom Link” at the bottom of the streaming links section.
2

Enter a Label

Enter a label (what the button will say).
3

Paste the URL

Paste the URL where the button should link to.
4

Configure Display

Fanaura automatically detects the website’s favicon for the button icon. Toggle the link on or off and set its display order.
Drag and drop links using the grip handle to reorder them. The order you set here is the order fans see on your smart link page.
Put your most important platform first. That button gets the most prominent placement and the most clicks.

ISRC Management

Adding or Updating Your ISRC

1

Open Your Release

Go to your release management page.
2

Find the ISRC Field

Find the ISRC field (usually near the top or in a metadata section).
3

Enter or Update the Code

Enter or update your ISRC code and save the change.

ISRC Lookup

After entering an ISRC, you can trigger a manual lookup:
1

Click Lookup

Click the “Lookup” or “Search” button next to the ISRC field.
2

Review Results

Fanaura searches Fanaura’s link resolution service for your track. If found, a comparison modal shows the discovered data vs. your current data.
3

Select Fields to Import

Select which fields to import (artwork, album name, release date, streaming links).
4

Apply

Click “Apply” to import the selected fields.
ISRC lookup is especially useful for adding older releases that are already live on streaming platforms — one lookup can populate all your links at once.

Music Videos

You can link music videos to your releases directly from the management page:
1

Click Add Music Video

Click “Add Music Video” on your release page.
2

Search or Paste URL

Search for the video by title, or paste a YouTube URL directly.
3

Video Embeds Automatically

The video is embedded on your release page and visible on your smart link page. Fans can watch the video right on your landing page without leaving.
You can add multiple videos to a single release (official video, lyric video, behind-the-scenes, etc.).

Presave Campaign Controls

The release management page includes controls for your active pre-save campaign:

Campaign Status

See the current status of your pre-save campaign:
StatusMeaning
ScheduledPre-save date is in the future
ActiveFans can currently pre-save
ExecutingRelease date has arrived, pre-saves are being processed
CompletedAll pre-saves have been executed

Platform Toggles

Enable or disable specific platforms for pre-saving. If you want to focus only on Spotify, turn off the other platforms.

Data Collection Settings

Configure what information fans are asked to provide when pre-saving. This is managed through the data wrapper settings on the Assets page.

Visibility Toggle

Control whether this release appears on your public smart link page:
  • Visible (green toggle): The release appears on your artist page and is accessible via its smart link.
  • Hidden (gray toggle): The release is removed from your artist page but its direct smart link still works if someone has the URL.
Use visibility to:
  • Prepare a release before making it public
  • Hide old releases to keep your page focused on current content
  • Temporarily remove a release during a rebranding or catalog update

Archiving Releases

When a release cycle is complete and you want to clean up your dashboard:
1

Open the Release

Go to the release management page.
2

Find the Archive Option

Look for the Archive option (usually in a dropdown menu or settings section).
3

Click to Archive

Click to archive the release.
Archived releases:
  • Are removed from your active assets list
  • Retain all data, analytics, and fan records
  • Can be un-archived at any time
  • Still work via direct smart link URLs

Drag-to-Reorder in Assets List

The order of releases on your smart link page is controlled from the main Assets list:
1

Go to Assets > Music

Open the Music tab on your Assets page.
2

Switch to List View

Switch to List View if you are not already in it.
3

Drag to Reorder

Grab the drag handle (six-dot icon) on any release and drag up or down to reorder.
4

Order Saves Automatically

Release to save the new order. The top release appears first on your public artist page.
Put your newest or most promoted release at the top.

Deleting a Release

1

Open the Release

Go to the release management page.
2

Find the Delete Button

Look for the Delete button (usually a trash can icon, often in a danger zone at the bottom).
3

Confirm Deletion

Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a release permanently removes it, its analytics, and its fan interaction data. This action cannot be undone. If you want to keep the data but hide the release, use the visibility toggle or archive feature instead.

Common Questions

URL slugs are auto-generated from your song title when the release is created. To avoid breaking existing shared links, slug changes are not available through the UI. If you need a new slug, reach out to support.
Pre-saves are unaffected by edits to title, artwork, or links. If you change the release date, pre-saves execute on the new date. If you delete the release, pending pre-saves are cancelled.
Currently, there is no duplicate feature. You will need to create a new release and enter the details again. However, ISRC lookup can auto-fill most fields for tracks that are already on platforms.
Yes. Each release has its own independent pre-save campaign. You can run as many simultaneous campaigns as you want.
