One of Fanaura’s most useful features is automatic streaming link fetching. When your release date arrives, Fanaura finds your track across every major streaming platform and populates your smart link page with the correct URLs — no manual work required.

How It Works

The process is straightforward:
  1. You add your ISRC code to your release (either during creation or anytime before release day).
  2. Release day arrives and your music goes live on streaming platforms.
  3. Fanaura searches the Odesli (song.link) API using your ISRC to find matching tracks across all platforms.
  4. Links are populated automatically on your smart link page.
  5. Your page converts from “Pre-Save” buttons to “Stream Now” buttons with the correct platform links.
The entire process is automatic. You do not need to log in, click anything, or copy-paste links from each platform. Fanaura does it all.

Platforms Searched

Fanaura searches for your track across all major streaming platforms:
PlatformTypeNotes
SpotifyStreamingThe most-used platform globally
Apple MusicStreamingStrong in iOS/Apple ecosystem
YouTube MusicStreamingTied to YouTube, massive reach
Amazon MusicStreamingPopular with Prime subscribers
DeezerStreamingPopular in Europe, Brazil, and Africa
TidalStreamingHigh-fidelity audio, popular with audiophiles
PandoraStreaming/RadioPopular in the US
SoundCloudStreamingStrong indie/electronic community
AudiomackStreamingGrowing platform, strong in hip-hop and Africa
iTunes StorePurchaseFor fans who buy music digitally
YouTubeVideoMusic videos and audio uploads
When a link is found on any of these platforms, it is automatically added to your smart link page.

The ISRC Is the Key

The entire system relies on your ISRC (International Standard Recording Code). Here is why:
  • Every recording in the world has a unique ISRC.
  • When your distributor delivers your track to Spotify, Apple Music, etc., the ISRC travels with it.
  • The Odesli API maintains a massive database that maps ISRCs to platform-specific URLs.
  • Fanaura queries Odesli with your ISRC and gets back URLs for every platform that has your track.
No ISRC = no automatic link fetching. If you do not have an ISRC in Fanaura, the system cannot search for your track. You would need to add streaming links manually.
Tip: Add your ISRC as soon as your distributor assigns it. Do not wait until release day. Having it in the system early means zero stress on launch day.

Automatic Page Conversion

On release day, your smart link page undergoes an automatic transformation:

Before Release Day

  • Page shows your artwork, song title, and artist name.
  • Buttons say “Pre-Save on Spotify”, “Pre-Save on Apple Music”, etc.
  • Clicking a button triggers the pre-save OAuth flow.

After Release Day

  • Page still shows your artwork, song title, and artist name.
  • Buttons change to “Stream on Spotify”, “Listen on Apple Music”, “Play on YouTube Music”, etc.
  • Clicking a button takes the fan directly to your track on that platform.
  • Additional platforms appear as links are discovered (Deezer, Tidal, Pandora, etc.).
This conversion happens automatically based on your release date and time. You do not need to update anything manually.
Sometimes a track goes live on platforms at slightly different times. Spotify might have it at midnight, but Apple Music might take a few hours. Here is what to know:
  • Fanaura checks periodically. If a link is not found on the first search, Fanaura will check again later.
  • Links populate as they are found. Your smart link page updates dynamically. If Spotify is found first, that button appears immediately. Apple Music gets added when it is found.
  • Most links are found within hours. For major distributors (DistroKid, TuneCore, CD Baby), links typically appear within 1-6 hours of release.
Tip: If it has been more than 24 hours and links are still missing, check that your ISRC is correct. A typo means the system is searching for the wrong track.

Manual Override

You always have full control over your streaming links. Automatic fetching is a convenience, not a requirement. From your release’s management page:
  1. Navigate to Assets > Music and click on your release.
  2. Scroll to the Streaming Links section.
  3. You will see a list of platforms, each with a URL input field.
  4. Paste the direct link to your track on each platform.
  5. Enable or disable individual platform links using the toggle next to each one.
  • You do not have an ISRC. Manual links are the way to go.
  • A platform is not supported by Odesli. Some smaller or newer platforms may not be in the Odesli database.
  • You want to link to a specific version. Maybe you want to link to the music video on YouTube instead of the audio-only upload.
  • You want to add custom links. Fanaura supports adding custom links beyond the standard streaming platforms — link to your merch store, your Patreon, a behind-the-scenes video, or anything else.
If Fanaura auto-fetched a link but you want to use a different URL:
  1. Go to the platform’s link field on your release management page.
  2. Replace the auto-fetched URL with your preferred URL.
  3. The change saves automatically.
Your manual edit takes priority over the auto-fetched link.
Beyond the standard streaming platforms, you can add custom links to your smart link page. These appear alongside your streaming buttons and can link to anything:
  • A music video on YouTube
  • A behind-the-scenes video
  • A TikTok post
  • Your Patreon or membership page
  • A merch bundle
  • A lyric video
  • An interview or press feature
Custom links include:
  • A custom label (what the button says)
  • A URL (where it goes)
  • An auto-detected favicon (Fanaura pulls the website’s icon automatically)
  • A display order (drag to reorder)
  • An enable/disable toggle

Every click on a streaming link is tracked and attributed. Here is what Fanaura records:
  • Which platform was clicked (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)
  • When the click happened (timestamp)
  • Who clicked it (if the fan is identified via email, phone, or prior interaction)
  • Where they came from (referral source, if available)
This data appears in your release analytics and helps you understand:
  • Which platforms your fans prefer
  • How many fans are actually clicking through to stream
  • The effectiveness of your promotional efforts
Tip: If 80% of your clicks go to Spotify and only 5% to Tidal, that tells you where to focus your attention. Use platform breakdown data to make smart decisions about where to invest your promotion time.

Button Actions

For each streaming platform link, you can configure the button action — what the button says. Options include:
  • Stream — “Stream on Spotify”
  • Listen — “Listen on Apple Music”
  • Pre-Save — “Pre-Save on Spotify” (before release)
  • Buy — “Buy on iTunes”
  • Watch — “Watch on YouTube”
  • Download — “Download on Audiomack”
Fanaura sets sensible defaults, but you can customize these to match your preference.
You can reorder your streaming links to prioritize the platforms you care about most:
  1. Go to your release management page.
  2. In the Streaming Links section, grab the drag handle next to any platform.
  3. Drag it up or down to reorder.
  4. The order saves automatically.
The top link gets the most prominent placement on your smart link page. Most artists put Spotify first, followed by Apple Music.

Common Questions

Check these things in order:
  1. Is your ISRC entered correctly? Go to your release page and verify the ISRC. A single wrong character means the search will fail.
  2. Has your release date passed? Links are only fetched on or after your release date.
  3. Is your music actually live on platforms? Log into Spotify/Apple Music and search for your track. If it is not there yet, the link fetch cannot find it either.
  4. Have you waited long enough? Some platforms take a few hours to index new releases. Wait 6-12 hours before troubleshooting.
Yes. You can manually add links at any time. For example, if you have a Spotify pre-save URL, you can add that as the Spotify link before release day. No. Link tracking is included in your Fanaura plan. Click as much as you want.

Can fans see which platforms I have linked?

Yes. Fans see a button for every enabled platform link on your smart link page. If you only have Spotify and Apple Music links, those are the only two buttons shown.
