Your most dedicated fans deserve recognition. Fanaura’s Fan Rewards system lets you build a loyalty program where fans earn tokens for every interaction — presaves, streams, purchases, referrals, and more. As they accumulate tokens, they level up through VIP tiers and unlock exclusive perks you define.

How to Get Here

  1. Click Settings (gear icon) in the left sidebar.
  2. Click the Fan Rewards tab.

How the Rewards System Works

The concept is simple:
  1. Fans take actions (presave your music, buy merch, refer friends, open your emails).
  2. They earn tokens for each action (you define how many).
  3. Tokens accumulate in their fan profile.
  4. They reach tier thresholds and level up (Bronze to Silver to Gold to Platinum to Diamond).
  5. Each tier unlocks perks you have configured (exclusive content, discounts, meet-and-greet entries).
It is a virtuous cycle: fans are incentivized to engage more, you get more data and deeper relationships, and fans feel valued and rewarded.

Reward Modes (Presets)

To make setup easy, Fanaura offers four reward modes. Each mode adjusts token values and tier thresholds to create a different pace for your loyalty program:

Conservative Mode

  • Time to Diamond: Approximately 3 years of regular engagement.
  • Philosophy: Rewards feel truly earned. Diamond status is rare and meaningful.
  • Token values: Lower across the board.
  • Tier thresholds: Higher — fans need more tokens to level up.
  • Best for: Established artists with large, active fan bases where exclusivity matters. If you have 100,000+ fans and want Diamond to feel elite, this is your mode.

Balanced Mode (Default)

  • Time to Diamond: Approximately 1.5 years of regular engagement.
  • Philosophy: A healthy middle ground. Fans see progress and stay motivated.
  • Token values: Moderate.
  • Tier thresholds: Standard.
  • Best for: Most artists. This is the recommended starting point. You can always adjust later.

Generous Mode

  • Time to Diamond: Approximately 6 months of regular engagement.
  • Philosophy: Rapid rewards keep fans excited and coming back. Great for building momentum fast.
  • Token values: Higher across the board.
  • Tier thresholds: Lower — fans level up faster.
  • Best for: New artists building a fan base, artists with upcoming releases who want to maximize engagement quickly, or anyone who wants fans to feel instantly rewarded.

Custom Mode

  • Time to Diamond: You decide.
  • Philosophy: Full control over every number.
  • Token values: Set each action individually.
  • Tier thresholds: Set each tier individually.
  • Best for: Artists who have a specific vision for their loyalty program and want to tune every detail.
Tip: Start with Balanced. Run it for a month, see how fans progress, then adjust. You can always switch modes later — existing fan token balances are preserved.

Token Actions (19 Ways Fans Earn Tokens)

Every interaction has a token value. Here are all 19 actions fans can take, along with the default token values in Balanced mode:

Understanding Token Values

The default values are designed to reflect the relative importance of each action:
  • High-value actions (100-200 tokens): Merch purchases and referrals have the highest impact on your career. A fan buying your merch or bringing in a new fan is incredibly valuable.
  • Medium-value actions (25-50 tokens): Presaves, RSVPs, social shares, and profile completions show strong intent and engagement.
  • Regular engagement (2-15 tokens): Streams, email opens, page views, and clicks are everyday interactions that add up over time.
  • Milestone bonuses (100-150 tokens): Birthday and anniversary bonuses reward loyalty and make fans feel personally valued.

Customizing Token Values

In Custom mode, you can change the token value for any action:
  1. Switch to Custom mode.
  2. Find the action you want to adjust.
  3. Enter your desired token value.
  4. Click Save.
Example: If you believe tour RSVPs are more valuable than the default suggests (because RSVP data helps you route tours), you might increase that from 50 to 150 tokens.

VIP Tier Thresholds

Tiers define the levels of your loyalty program. Here are the default thresholds:
TierDefault Token ThresholdVisual
Bronze0Every fan starts here
Silver100A few meaningful interactions
Gold500Consistent engagement over time
Platinum2,000Your most active fans
Diamond10,000Your ride-or-die superfans

How Tier Progression Works

  • Every fan starts at Bronze with 0 tokens.
  • As they earn tokens through actions, their balance grows.
  • When their balance crosses a tier threshold, they automatically level up.
  • Tier status is visible on their fan profile.
  • You can use tiers in flow conditions (e.g., “If fan is Gold tier or higher, send exclusive content”).
  • Fans never lose their tier — tokens are cumulative and permanent.

Customizing Tier Thresholds

In Custom mode:
  1. Find the VIP Tier Thresholds section.
  2. Adjust the token requirement for Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.
  3. Click Save.
Tip: Keep Bronze at 0 — every fan should start with at least the base tier. Adjust the gaps between tiers to control how quickly fans progress.

Tier Rewards (Perks)

Each tier can offer specific perks. These are the rewards fans receive for reaching a tier:

Bronze Tier Rewards

  • Early access to announcements: Bronze fans hear about new releases and news before the general public. This is a low-cost, high-value perk that makes every fan feel like an insider.

Silver Tier Rewards

  • Exclusive content: Access to behind-the-scenes photos, unreleased demos, voice memos, or studio footage. Silver fans have shown enough engagement to earn something special.

Gold Tier Rewards

  • Merch discounts: A percentage off your merch store. Gold fans are invested enough to buy, and a discount encourages them to do so. Common discount: 10-15% off.

Platinum Tier Rewards

  • Meet and greet entries: Platinum fans are entered into drawings for meet-and-greet opportunities at your shows. This is a highly desirable perk that requires real commitment to earn.

Diamond Tier Rewards

  • VIP experiences: The ultimate rewards for your most dedicated fans. Free tickets to shows, backstage access, signed merchandise, personal video messages, or any exclusive experience you want to offer. Diamond fans are your inner circle.

Customizing Tier Rewards

You can modify the perks for each tier:
  1. Click on a tier name to expand its reward configuration.
  2. Add, edit, or remove perks.
  3. Write a description of each perk that fans will see.
  4. Click Save.
Creative perk ideas:
  • Bronze: Early access to announcements, fan newsletter
  • Silver: Exclusive playlist, behind-the-scenes content, Discord server access
  • Gold: 15% merch discount, priority presale access for concerts
  • Platinum: Meet-and-greet lottery, signed merch giveaway entries, exclusive live stream access
  • Diamond: Free concert tickets, backstage pass lottery, personal thank-you video, credit in album liner notes

Mode Information Panel

When you select a reward mode, Fanaura shows an information panel with:
  • Estimated time to Diamond: How long it typically takes for an active fan to reach Diamond tier.
  • Token value summary: A quick overview of token values for key actions.
  • Tier progression chart: A visual representation of how fans move through tiers.
This helps you understand the impact of your choice before committing.

Switching Between Modes

You can switch modes at any time:
  1. Select a new mode from the dropdown.
  2. Review the new token values and thresholds.
  3. Click Apply.
What happens to existing fans: Their accumulated tokens are preserved. Only the thresholds change. This means:
  • If you switch from Conservative to Generous, some fans might instantly jump to higher tiers (because the thresholds dropped).
  • If you switch from Generous to Conservative, some fans might appear to drop tiers (because the thresholds increased).
Important: Communicate tier changes to your fans if you make dramatic adjustments. A fan who was Gold yesterday and is suddenly Bronze today will feel confused and disappointed.

Best Practices

  • Start with Balanced: It is the recommended default for a reason. Most artists find it hits the right pace.
  • Promote your rewards program: Let fans know about tiers and perks. Post about it on social media, mention it in emails, and display tier badges on your smart links.
  • Deliver on perks: If Gold tier promises a merch discount, make sure the discount is actually available and easy to redeem. Unfulfilled promises damage trust.
  • Make Diamond feel special: Diamond should be aspirational. Do not make it too easy to reach, and do not skimp on the rewards.
  • Use tiers in your flows: Build automation around tiers. When a fan reaches Gold, trigger a congratulatory email with their discount code. When someone hits Platinum, send a personal DM.
  • Review token values quarterly: As your career evolves, the relative value of actions might change. Adjust accordingly.
  • Celebrate milestones: When a fan levels up, make it an event. An automated congratulations message goes a long way.

What Happens Next

After configuring your rewards:
  • New fans immediately start earning tokens for their actions.
  • Existing fans have their past actions retroactively calculated (tokens are assigned based on their historical activity).
  • You can see each fan’s tier and token balance on their fan profile page.
  • Use tier data in flow conditions and campaign targeting to deliver the right content to the right fans.
