Once your Shopify store is connected, your products appear automatically in Assets > Merch. This guide covers everything you can do with your synced products in Fanaura — from controlling which products fans see to tracking clicks and managing your catalog.

Viewing Your Products

  1. Navigate to Assets from the sidebar.
  2. Click the Merch tab.
  3. Your synced Shopify products are listed with their images, titles, and prices.

Product Display

Each product in your list shows:
  • Featured image — The main product photo from Shopify.
  • Product title — The name of the product as it appears in Shopify.
  • Price — The product price. For products with multiple variants at different prices, a price range is shown (e.g., “2525 - 45”).
  • Compare-at price — If the product is on sale, the original price is shown crossed out next to the sale price.
  • Inventory status — A quick indicator of stock levels.
  • Visibility toggle — Controls whether the product appears on your smart link page.

Grid View vs. List View

Switch between display modes:
  • List View: Each product is a compact row with the image, title, price, and visibility toggle. Best for scanning a large catalog quickly. Includes the drag handle for reordering.
  • Grid View: Products displayed as visual cards with larger images. Best for viewing your product photography.
Toggle between views using the Grid and List icons in the top-right corner of the Merch tab. Your preference is saved.

Product Details

Title and Description

The product title and description are pulled from Shopify. These are read-only in Fanaura — all product content is managed in Shopify. If you want to change a title or description, edit it in your Shopify admin and re-sync.

Images

All product images from Shopify are available, including:
  • The featured image (the main product photo)
  • Gallery images (additional angles, lifestyle shots, etc.)
Images are synced from Shopify and cannot be edited in Fanaura.

Variants

Products with multiple variants (size, color, style) show all available options:
  • Variant name (e.g., “Small / Black”, “Large / White”)
  • Variant price (individual variant pricing)
  • Inventory quantity (stock level per variant)
This gives you a quick view of your inventory across all sizes and colors without logging into Shopify.

Price Information

  • Price — The current selling price.
  • Price range — If variants have different prices, the min and max are shown.
  • Compare-at price — The original price before a discount. When set, fans see both prices with the original crossed out, making the sale obvious.

Inventory Tracking

Fanaura syncs inventory levels from Shopify so you can monitor stock at a glance:

Total Inventory

The sum of all variant inventory quantities. If a product has three sizes with 10, 15, and 8 units respectively, the total inventory shows 33.

Low Stock Indicators

When inventory drops below a threshold, Fanaura highlights the product with a low-stock warning. This helps you catch items that are about to sell out before they actually do.

Out of Stock

Products with zero inventory across all variants are flagged as out of stock. You may want to hide these from your smart link page using the visibility toggle.
Tip: Check your inventory levels in Fanaura before launching a promotional campaign. Nothing kills momentum like promoting a product that is sold out.

Visibility Toggle

The visibility toggle is one of the most important controls for your merch catalog. It determines whether a product appears on your public smart link page.

How to Toggle

Each product has a green/gray toggle switch on the right side of its row:
  • Green (on): The product is visible on your smart link page. Fans can see and click through to buy it.
  • Gray (off): The product is hidden from your smart link page. It still exists in your Fanaura dashboard but fans cannot see it.
Click the toggle to switch between visible and hidden.

When to Hide Products

  • Seasonal items: Hide winter merch during summer, holiday items after the season.
  • Out of stock: Hide products that have sold out to avoid fan frustration.
  • Upcoming launches: Keep new products hidden until you are ready to promote them.
  • Low-priority items: If you have a large catalog, show only your best sellers or newest items to keep the page focused.
  • Discontinued items: Hide items you no longer sell but that are still in your Shopify catalog.

Default Visibility

All synced products default to visible when first imported. This means they appear on your smart link page immediately after syncing. If you want to curate what fans see, go through your product list and hide items you do not want shown.

Drag-to-Reorder

Control the order products appear on your smart link page:
  1. Switch to List View (reordering works in list view).
  2. Grab the drag handle (six-dot grip icon) on the left side of any product row.
  3. Drag the product up or down.
  4. Release to save the new position.
The order saves automatically. Products appear on your smart link page in the exact order you set here.
Tip: Put your bestsellers and newest items at the top. Fans are most likely to engage with the first few products they see.

Your merch products appear on your artist smart link page alongside your music, tours, and extras. When a fan visits your page:
  1. They scroll to the Merch section.
  2. They see your visible products with images, titles, and prices.
  3. They click on a product.
  4. They are taken to your Shopify checkout page for that product in a new tab.
  5. They complete the purchase on Shopify.
Fanaura tracks every click from your smart link page to Shopify. This click data appears in your analytics.

The Fan Experience

The merch section on your smart link page is designed to feel like a mini storefront:
  • Products display in an attractive grid or list (depending on the smart link page design).
  • Each product shows its featured image, title, and price.
  • Clicking a product opens the Shopify product page where fans can select variants, add to cart, and check out.

Merch Analytics

Fanaura tracks engagement with your merch products:

Views

How many times each product was seen on your smart link page. High views with low clicks might indicate the product image or price needs attention.

Clicks

How many times fans clicked through to the Shopify product page. This is the most important metric — it tells you which products are driving purchase intent.

Revenue Tracking

If revenue data is available from the Shopify integration, Fanaura can display:
  • Total revenue per product
  • Revenue trends over time

Click-Through Rate

The percentage of product views that result in a click to Shopify. This helps you compare product performance and identify which items are most appealing to your fans.

Products Are Read-Only

An important concept to understand: products in Fanaura are read-only. All product management happens in Shopify. Fanaura syncs the data but does not allow you to edit:
  • Product titles
  • Descriptions
  • Prices
  • Images
  • Variants
  • Inventory levels
If you need to change any product information:
  1. Log into your Shopify admin.
  2. Edit the product there.
  3. Come back to Fanaura and click “Re-Sync” (or wait for the automatic sync).
  4. The updated information appears in Fanaura.
This design ensures your Shopify store remains the single source of truth for product data.

Bulk Actions

Re-Sync All Products

To refresh all product data from Shopify:
  1. Go to Integrations (or use the re-sync option on the Merch tab).
  2. Click “Re-Sync”.
  3. All products are refreshed with the latest data from Shopify.

Managing Visibility in Bulk

Currently, visibility toggles are managed per-product. For large catalogs, work through your list systematically — start by hiding everything, then enable only the products you want to feature.

Working with the Fanaura Sales Channel

Remember that only products published to the Fanaura sales channel in Shopify will sync to Fanaura. This gives you an additional layer of control:
ControlWhereEffect
Sales channel publishingShopify adminControls whether a product syncs to Fanaura at all
Visibility toggleFanauraControls whether a synced product appears on your smart link page
Use both controls together:
  • Unpublish from the Fanaura channel in Shopify to completely remove a product from Fanaura.
  • Use the visibility toggle in Fanaura for quick show/hide on your smart link page without changing Shopify settings.

Common Questions

Why is a product showing old information?

Product data is synced periodically. Click Re-Sync to pull the latest data immediately.

Can I add products to Fanaura without Shopify?

Currently, merch products in Fanaura are synced exclusively from Shopify. A Shopify connection is required.

Can fans complete purchases directly on Fanaura?

No. Fanaura links to your Shopify store for checkout. All transactions are processed by Shopify.

What happens if I delete a product in Shopify?

After the next sync, the product will no longer appear in Fanaura. Existing analytics and click data for that product are retained. Products are shared across your artist account. Use the visibility toggle to control what appears on your smart link page. If you need different product selections for different campaigns, toggle products on and off as needed.

Does Fanaura take a cut of my Shopify sales?

No. Fanaura does not process payments or take any commission on your Shopify sales. All revenue goes through Shopify and your configured payment provider.
