# Email sender

> Branded address, custom senders, DNS records, and blast routing on iPhone.

Open from **Settings** → **Connections and messaging** → **Email**.

## Hero card

| Element | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Verified** pill | Default branded address is ready |
| **Your email** | Active sending address (branded or chosen custom sender) |
| Subcopy | When a custom sender is selected, explains whether blasts, journeys, or both use it |

## Where email sends from

| Row | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Blasts** | Address used for one-time email blasts |
| **Journeys** | Address used for journey-related email |

Both fall back to your branded Fanaura address until you assign a verified custom sender.

## Your senders

| Row | Action |
| - | - |
| **Your email** | Default `@creators.fanaura.com` (or provisioned branded address). Verified, not removable |
| Custom sender rows | Tap to open sender detail |
| **Add a sender** | Start domain and address setup |

## Sender detail screen

| Section | Content |
| - | - |
| **Approval progress** | Steps: sender added, DNS records published, email provider review, ready to send |
| **DNS records** | Host and value rows with **Copy host** and **Copy value** when verification is pending |
| **Refresh status** | Re-checks DNS and provider state |
| **Use this sender** | Toggles for **Blasts** and **Journeys** when verified |
| **Remove sender** | Deletes a custom sender after confirmation |

Failed verification shows **Needs attention** with record-level hints (wrong value, missing record, doubled host).

## Relationship to Blast and journeys

Email blasts require a verified from-address. Journey email replies require the same readiness rules shown in the [journey editor](/ios/journey-editor) replies stage.
